General Announcements
The Middle School Office will be open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4pm and Friday 8:00am-noon through June 26, reopening August 3rd for the 2015-2016 school year.  The school is closed for the month of July.

IMPACT TESTS
SSMS will be conducting Impact Tests on the following days:
  • Thursday August 6 at 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday August 12 at 4:00 PM
  • Thursday August 13 at 4:00 PM
Parents need to call Sports Med at 871-2370 to sign up, space is limited.  The cost is $15.00 cash or check.  Please have the exact amount, we will not have change.  Parents will need to attend the test with their child.  Please call Fred a Sports Med with any additional questions, 871-2370.

August 17 – SSMS Football conditioning begins for 7th and 8th graders

August 26 – First day of school!!  School hours:   8:20 AM – 3:20 PM

What to expect at Check-in:
What should you bring to check in?  

PLEASE BRING IN YOUR COMPLETED AND SIGNED CENSUS FORM
  • All forms and the Student Handbook will be on the SSMS website under the tab:  STUDENT CHECK-IN.  Read the forms, print ONLY the Parent Waiver and Release, initial, and bring to check-in. This is the only form that you need to turn in to the school.  
  • 6th grade only will need to bring in their signed Science school forms, there will also be representatives at check-in from the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps to answer questions.  These forms are located under the Student Check in tab as well.
FEES – a statement will be available on your Parent Portal account in August.  Paying through your portal account will speed up the check-in process.  Go to:  Instructions for Paying Fees Online on the District website under the Parent tab, Parent Home-Forms.  If you have not paid your fees online, there will be an opportunity to do so at check-in. 
 
Parent Portal.  If you have not already set up a portal account, an opportunity to do so will be available at check-in, please bring a picture ID.

Stewart Photo will be at check-in taking school photos that will be available for purchase at a later date. 

The school Nurse will be on hand to take Height and Weight, Vision and Hearing and offering needed immunizations for incoming 6th grade students.  

AFTER all of the above stations are completed, you will receive your Schedule and locker for the year.  Plan on bringing your supplies to check-in, you may load them into your locker at this point.
