To Schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences:
SSMS is using an online scheduling program for Fall Parent/Teacher Conference appointments.  This program allows you to schedule your own appointments at any time that it is convenient for you.  Once you login you will be able to view available appointments for your student’s teachers, and if you have more than one student at SSMS, you can view multiple students’ schedules.
 
Step by step instructions:
 
  • Register (new users)
  1. Enter your email address and click “login/Create Account”
  2. Fill in the required fields and register
  3. For each child, enter a student ID which is the student full name (full first name + last name: ex.  BenjaminFranklin) note there is no space between first and last name
  4. The Security Value for your student is his/her birthdate entered in the following format:  12/31/1997
  5. At the top of the page, choose the Middle school from the drop down menu where it says “Click here to change events”. If you also have a high school student, switch here to schedule for the high school.
  • Sign-in (If you have previously registered) Enter your email and password.  The system will remember your children and appointments you have made previously.  If you have forgotten your password, select FORGOT MY PASSWORD.
  • Scheduling
  1. Each colored square represents an available 15 minute meeting time for core teachers and 10 minutes for Spanish, Encore and Piva, Gary, Craig, and Mulliken.  The legend shows you which teacher corresponds to which color, and the times increase as you go down the page.   You will only see appointments for teachers that your children have classes with.  Click on the square that corresponds with the time and teacher you wish to meet.  Note that there are two columns for conferences, the first column is for Wed., Nov. 5 beginning at 4:00pm, and the second column is for Thurs., Nov. 6, conferences beginning at 8:00am.  Squares that are white represent appointment times that are not available. 
  2. Once you have selected a square to book a time, you will have the choice of setting a time when you would like a reminder email delivered.
  3. Click “Create Appointment”.
Repeat this process until you have a time with each teacher you wish to visit with.
At any time you can select “printable schedule” and print the resulting web page to get a hard copy of your schedule.  You will also have the option to email your schedule to yourself.
If you want to make changes to your schedule, you can log in at any time with the email address and password you used to create your account.  Please note that changes/additions cannot be made within 12 hours of the appointment time. Click on “Your Schedule” to display and hide your appointments.  There will be links to change the time, or cancel the appointment. 
 
PLEASE NOTE:
You will only be able to make appointments with teachers your child currently (Q2) has on their schedule.
Encore teachers from 1st quarter will be available for drop-in appointments

If you do not have access to a computer or an email account:
There are computers available at the public library. You may telephone your request to the school office at 871-3598 with detailed information regarding what date and time you would like to meet with teachers, which teachers you want to see and your return contact information.
